PREPARATION OF GEOTHERMAL SILICA GLASS COATING FILM THROUGH MULTI-FACTOR OPTIMIZATION

Glass coating films have been developed by many researchers in recent years. However, mass commercialization of this technology is still inefficient, and optimal methods are needed to produce affordable products. This paper introduces a film preparation method through, which superimposed on silica glass utilizing geothermal waste, byproduct power plants. Geothermal waste has used as precursor modified using several silylation agents such methyltriethoxysilane (MTMS), hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS), polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), surface-active agent (surfactant) cethyltrimethylammoniumbromide (CTAB). Design Expert 8.0.6 for optimization find the desired product at concentration specific precursors silane contact angle responses. A model that consists statistically significant variables can be generalized broad data range. The results study indicate surface coated with produces hydrophobic angles up 90° MTMS agent.
